Industrial PTFE Coated & Silicone Coated High Performance Materials

SGT/SS-Series PTFE Coated Fiberglass Sewing Thread with Stainless Steel Wire Insert – Max 1400F

Our SGT/SS-series thread reduces seam failure due to thermal shock & exposure, offers excellent tensile strength even at 1400 deg. Fahrenheit and has a stainless steel wire twisted right into the thread! Maximum operating temperature: 1400 deg F Stainless Steel wire failsafe to 1600 deg F

W.F. Lake Corp. manufactures it’s PTFE coated S-2 glass fiber sewing thread from high purity, very fine continuous filament yarns.

Our SGT/SS-series thread reduces seam failure due to thermal shock & exposure, offers excellent tensile strength even at 1400 deg. Fahrenheit and has a stainless steel wire twisted right into the thread for failsafe temps to 1600 deg!

Our uniform PTFE coating completely encapsulates the thread, enhancing resistance to buildup of contaminants and repelling attack by most acids and alkalis. W.F. Lake’s sewing thread will not support combustion, will not burn and is UV stable. In addition, the smooth coating improves handling characteristics, abrasion resistance and sewability.
